Fittings and Aluminium

Packhorse cases have a huge range of case hardware and fittings to suit most needs including our own specially designed extrusions:

Butterfly Catch

A recessed cam operated catch in a dish of either stainless Steel, mild steel in BZP or powder coated finish, or a silver plastic dish with a mild steel catch. This catch is available with or without a padlocking or key locking facility. Several sizes are available, typically determined by the lid depth.

Corner

Made from stainless Steel, mild steel in BZP or powder coated finish, or black plastic. Flat, ball, bullnose, bump and stacking corners are available.

Lid Stays

A recessed loop lid stay, stopping at approximately 93 degrees to be used in conjunction with piano hinge as shown. A double strut style hinge can be used to save weight and cost in lighter applications. Materials and finishes as the butterfly catch.

Castors

A large range of castors are available, typically 50-150mm diameter with a load rating between 25 and 500kg. These come as standard as full swivel with or without brake but are also available as non-swivel with or without brake.

Handles

Recessed or surface mount. Materials and finishes as the butterfly catch.

Fork Lift Skids

Heavy duty, to enable easy movement by forklift. Design by Packhorse, also suitable for movement by pallet truck.

Location Strips

Male and female lid location profiles are carefully thought out to achieve reliable interchangeability and performance. These are available to suit 7,10 or 13mm panel thickness and have been designed to accept a weather/dust proof gasket strip.
