Storm Case The Hardigg Storm Case is produced by Hardigg Case Industries which in 2010 was purchased by Pelican Cases. Whilst the Storm hard case has been renamed as the Peli Storm Case the product remains the same, offering the best quality case and value of it's type in the plastic waterproof case market. Packhorse Flight Cases have now added online ordering for the Storm carry-on case sizes with others following over the next few days. Padded Bags

Padded Bags & Padded Covers Standard and custom stitched protective padded bags are available making our soft padded bag range the ideal lightweight solution for transporting delicate equipment and for protecting display equipment from marks and scratches. Stitched nylon padded bags and canvas bags can be produce from 210, 610 and for our heavy duty padded bag range, 840denier. Packhorse waterproof nylon padded bags and canvas bags use heavy duty stitching and can be supplied with a choice of three construction methods, a single wall, a single wall bonded to 4mm foam with brushed nylon internal finish or for a full spec padded bag with a sandwich made up of an internal and external wall with laminate in between. The laminate between the inner and outer skins can be foam up to 12mm or a combination of a rigid board and foam laminate. Other options available with our padded bag collection are additional pockets and pouches for fixing screws, mobile phones, paper work and laptops etc can be fitted inside or outside and supplied with zipped, clipped, pressed stud or velcroed (Velcroed? what sort of word is that!) closures. Common production includes Sports Equipment Bags such as cricket equipment bags and football kit bags, IT Equipment Padded Bags like  LCD monitor bagsand laptop bags along with Exhibition Equipment Bags for display panel, sales aids and custom  padded  bags for product and display items. Flight Case Move

Flight Case Manufacturer on the move Packhorse Cases have completed their move to new premises over the May bank holiday. Flight case manufacturing has been slowly moved over the last month with no major loss of case production, while final completion of the IT systems move was complete over the weekend. The new complex is larger, brighter and greener than the previous one allowing not only more space for flight case manufacture but the case production is now under natural light during daylight hours. With the extra space there is more room for recycling equipment and separated waste storage. Flight Case Racket

Custom Sports Equipment Case Packhorse Flight Cases have long been suppliers of sports equipment cases and were pleased when Liam Nolan called for advice on transporting his tennis equipment round the world. Liam is Technical Director of the UK Racket Stringers Association and is also the guy who travels the globe with the GB Davis Cup Tennis Team as the Professional Stringer for Team GB. Originally Liam had contacted Packhorse with a standard off the shelf hard case in mind but when that proved to be not a good option he had a custom flight case made.  Liam was so pleased with the service and the case quality of his tennis equipment case he offered to re-string our Sam's racket for him, assuring him (with wink to the other lads) it would improve Sam's playing ability - mmmmmm! You can see the Davis Cup Tennis Team in action in the UK at Eastbourne in July where they play their Europe/Africa Zone match against Turkey. Cases For My Valentine

"The best British metal band to emerge in years." - Q Magazine Bullet for My Valentine on tour with Packhorse Flight Cases, well actually in the past when they toured they shared the stage with the likes of Guns N Roses, Metallica and Iron Maiden, (all Packhorse customers!) playing the Main Stage at just about every rock festival on the planet The Welsh metal-core band Bullet For My Valentine have spent most of the past two years taking over the world with massive U.K., European, U.S. and worldwide tours and Packhorse have had the ongoing pleasure over the years of designing and supplying their flight cases. Their latest custom flight cases included a set of drum cases for Moose's kit including the traps and cymbal case shown below and a 19" rack case for Jay's latest addition to his bass rig. According to the NME "Bullet For My Valentine seem unstoppable..." - they were right, their next tour starts in the States for a month or so before arriving back in Europe for a further couple of months touring during which time they will hit th UK for the Download  festival on the 11th June. Just received an email from Ryan, director at ER Productions saying  "Have a good weekend, and thanks again for the great service." along with an insight into where the latest cases he ordered were heading. It turns out they are off all over the globe, some on the MUSE world tour, Groove Armadas world tour, Chris Cunningham UK Tour and United Visual Artists Installation at the Bargehouse OXO Tower Wharf. ER Productions and their projection services are not only popular in the UK but are now seen world wide with their  multi media displays,  including large scale building projection, laser display and effects and water & fire display - put the lot together and well... check it out on their web site HERE which has a photo gallery somewhat more interesting than ours! Malcolm McLaren

Sad news arrived today in that Malcolm McLaren had died in Switzerland from cancer. It got me thinking back to the year when the Sex Pistols arrived, I remember the 100 Club in Oxford St, London, the home of early punk and where I spent many a Tuesday 'Punk' night courtesy of Ron Watts the promoter. The first time I meet Malcolm was when Packhorse were asked to produce cases for the Sex Pistols backline and instruments in advance of their first USA tour. When I got down to rehearsals I was presented with a pile of equipment, well I had never seen anything like it. 'We need a case for this to start with' pointing towards what appeared to me to be a totally trashed Marshall 4 x 12 cab complete with split and ripped speaker cones, not the condition of the equipment we normally cased. But what do I know, this was the equipment that produced 'their' sound which went on to become known world wide! The Sex Pistols and Malcolm had arrived, bringing a new and fresh era in music to the fore that went on to produce bands with refreshing and exciting sounds. I remember stencilling customers names like The Buzzcocks, The Clash, The Damned, Generation X, The Jam, Siouxsie & The Banshees and The Stranglers to name but a few, onto flight cases which was then often followed by good nights out, great music and fun times, which I best not elaborate on except to say Sex, Drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll.
